Photo Booth Attendant (On Going)

At Flux, we do more than photo booths. Our team produces immersive photo and video experiences for luxury weddings, corporate events, brand activations, galas, and private celebrations throughout New York City. From studio-style portraits and instant film experiences to trading cards, GIFs, video activations, and custom event concepts, no two events are exactly alike.

As an Event Staff member, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and breaking down our event experiences while creating an engaging and seamless guest experience. Team members should be comfortable learning new technology and adapting to different event setups.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Majority of work will be performed on weekends (Friday through Sunday), with occasional work on weekdays.

  • Hours will vary from week to week, so this is not a full-time position. Our workload varies throughout the year, as the events industry has busy seasons and slow seasons.

  • Busy seasons tend to be March through May and August through December.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be willing to pick up equipment from our studio.

  • Be courteous, friendly, and professional at all times

  • Attend training/meetings.

  • Maintain perfect attendance and timeliness. Because of the nature of our business, perfect attendance is a must! We cannot tolerate tardiness or no shows. Please do not apply if punctuality is not your strength.

  • Drive to the venue and return the equipment.

  • Protect the equipment.

  • Set up, operate, and break down photo booth.

  • Create a fun atmosphere and encourage guests to have a great time in the photo booth.

  • Maintain a pristine space at events for the photo booth before and during the event.

  • Dress according to company's policy.

  • For Drivers: Have reliable transportation that can fit all photo booth gear. A four-door sedan is large enough if the seats can lay down, and a hatchback is preferred for ease of loading in and out.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality with a positive attitude and great energy.

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with guests and clients.

  • Comfortable troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure when technical issues arise.

  • Intermediate computer and technology skills, including the ability to learn and operate new software and equipment.

  • Experience in hospitality, events, photography, customer service, or related industries is preferred (bonus points if you have photography or content creation experience).

  • Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras. Training will be provided on Flux-specific equipment and software.

  • Ability to learn and operate photo booth technology, including cameras, lighting, printers, iPads, and event software such as DSLR Booth and LA Photo Party.

  • Extremely organized and dependable, with the ability to follow detailed event instructions.

  • Ability to lift and transport 50+ pounds without assistance. Equipment cases have wheels, but team members should be comfortable lifting equipment over curbs, stairs, and thresholds when necessary.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must have a smartphone with active phone service and be responsive to team communications.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak event seasons.

PAY:

  • Assisting and training $16.50/hour

  • Non-Drivers $20/ hour

  • Drivers $25/ Hour

Experience:

  • Brand Ambassadors & Demonstrators: 2 years (Preferred)

  • Luxury Customer service: 2 years (Required)

  • Photography: 1 year (Required)

  • Computer skills: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
